MyHeritage coupon codes and promo codes in November 2026
Verified MyHeritage discount codes and active vouchers to use online

I’ve been working as a Senior Editor at CupoNation Australia since 2022, updating MyHeritage deals weekly and making sure all discount codes are reliable.
I would recommend having a DNA kit shipped straight to the relative who's taking the test. You add their address at checkout, so you don't pay to post the kit on, and they send their sample back without it ever passing through your hands.
It started as an interest for the founder and CEO, Gilad Japhet. He wanted to know more about his roots and genealogy. He began the company more than 20 years ago, as a garage startup at his home with a dream. A dream to help people all over the world learn more about their family histories.
Today, MyHeritage is known worldwide, with millions of users and over 500 staff members. They help people trace back their family line, and recover old photos, documents, and more!
Apply this promo code at checkout to receive 50% off a MyHeritage Complete Annual Subscription following your free trial. Access historical records, census data, and family tree tools.
DNA kit deals are the lever we'd watch here. The Halloween DNA Sale drops the kit to $19.90 with free delivery, and that can include a 30-day Complete trial, so we'd only jump in if you're happy to cancel before the paid year starts.
If you're buying a DNA kit, waiting for the Halloween DNA Sale looks smartest. Cancel the trial in time if you only want the kit price.
The Basic plan costs nothing. You can build a family tree of up to 250 people and store 500MB of photos and documents, and those limits are shared across every tree on your family site. The Family Tree Builder desktop software is a free download too, though some of its features sit behind Premium.
Building on Basic needs no MyHeritage coupon or card details. We'd add every relative you already know before paying for anything, because paid time is better spent on the records and matches you can't get for free.
Paid plans such as Complete and Data come with a free trial, usually 14 days, and the confirmation email states the exact length. You enter card details to start, and if you don't cancel before it ends, the trial becomes a paid subscription at the regular rate.
To stop it, open My Purchases from your name in the upper right corner, choose the plan and select "Stop free trial now". Cancelling ends paid access straight away rather than at the end of the trial, but your tree and data stay in your account on Basic.
That rule changes the tactic. Cancelling on day one as a safety net wastes the trial. Set a reminder for the day before it ends, go in with a list of ancestors to look up, and cancel once you've saved what you need.
The biggest plan only saves money if you use every part of it. Each one suits a different kind of researcher.
Both are family site plans. Premium lifts your tree to 2,500 people and 1,000MB of storage and adds Smart Matches. PremiumPlus removes the tree and storage limits and adds Instant Discoveries and the Tree Consistency Checker.
Neither gives full access to historical records, so they suit people who mostly build and connect trees.
Data is a yearly plan for the full historical records search, high resolution scans and Record Matches, and it lets you save records to your tree. It covers your whole account rather than one site.
If your tree is still under 250 people, Data on top of a free Basic site gets you the records without paying for tree space you don't need yet.
The Photo plan covers AI enhancement, colourisation, animation and repair, with unlimited photo storage and scanning. Complete combines PremiumPlus and Data and includes the same AI photo tools, but not the Photo Scanner.
If fixing faded family photos is your main goal, Photo is the narrower spend. Complete makes more sense once you want trees, records and photos together, since buying those separately adds up.
The kit price isn't the whole cost. Shipping is added at checkout, and the return envelope isn't prepaid, so you pay the postage to send your sample back. Australian samples go to a collection centre in NSW rather than the overseas lab, which keeps that postage domestic. Skip any service that asks for a signature on delivery, as the collection centre asks you not to use one.
DNA matching is free once you've bought a kit, while advanced DNA features come with paid plans such as Premium and Complete.
A MyHeritage coupon code can bring the kit price down. We'd hold off on a plan until your results arrive, because your match list shows whether the advanced tools are worth paying for.
Moving from a lower plan to a higher one credits the unused part of your current subscription, so the upgrade charge comes in under the full price. If you're partway through a Premium year and decide you want records too, upgrading uses that credit instead of leaving paid months to waste.
Premium, PremiumPlus, Complete and Photo each apply to a single family site, so a second site needs its own upgrade. Keeping all your trees on one site means one subscription covers the lot. Data is the exception, as it already covers your whole account.
Introductory pricing, including any MyHeritage discount code, lasts only for the promotional term. After that, the plan renews at the regular rate. You can cancel automatic renewal in My Purchases before the next billing date, or through the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed in the app. A plan you've stopped using is the easiest money to save.
We keep our latest codes for DNA kits and subscriptions on this page. If you're buying a kit and a plan and can only use one code, put it on whichever costs more, since the same percentage off a bigger total saves more dollars.
