Codes at Fast Cover take either a percentage or a fixed dollar amount off your premium, and you add them at checkout. Only one discount generally applies per policy, so a code won't stack with the loyalty discount for returning customers.
The type of code matters more than people think. A percentage code is worth more on a pricier policy, such as Comprehensive cover for a long trip or a family. A fixed dollar code goes further on a cheap Basics or domestic policy, where it can cut a bigger share of the price. Joining their email list gets you subscriber only discounts and early access to sales. Sign up a few weeks before you plan to buy rather than on the day, so any Fast Cover discount code sent to members has time to land in your inbox. You can unsubscribe once the trip is insured.
You can cancel within 25 days of buying for a full refund, as long as your trip hasn't started and you haven't claimed or used the policy, for example to get a visa. After that, cancelling before you leave usually returns 70% on Basics policies and 60% on most other plans.
This makes buying early low risk. Insure as soon as you book so cancellation cover starts straight away, rather than leaving prepaid flights and hotels without cancellation cover until just before you fly.
