Joining myFreedom is free when you create an account or tick the membership box at checkout. Every $1,500 of qualifying spend in a rolling 12 months from your first completed transaction earns a $50 Reward Voucher. This is roughly 3.3% back.

• Vouchers load about 48 hours after the whole transaction is complete, so after the last furniture item is delivered.

• Each voucher lasts three months from issue, and several can be used together, so four vouchers take $200 off one order.

• Vouchers work online or in-store but give no change and cannot buy gift cards or be used at Freedom Kitchens.

• Spend counts after discounts and returns, and excludes gift cards, custom-made purchases, blinds and third-party services you arrange yourself.

• Any voucher used on an item returned for a change of mind is forfeited.

Plan big buys such as a sofa and a dining setting inside the same 12 months, and diarise the expiry, because unused credit simply disappears.

Free delivery covers homewares only, so a lamp and rug order just over $149 ships free while a sofa still pays its usual fee. Member pricing does not stack with storewide promotions, so compare the two prices and take the lower one.

Trade professionals with a valid ABN can join Freedom Trade for free, with no minimum spend. Select Trade at the top of the website, enter your company name and ABN, and wait for written approval.

Members get an everyday 15% off the full price of standard range products. They also get an extra 5% off sale and clearance prices, early sale notice, trade event invitations, and help from the Trade team.

• Trade pricing cannot be combined with other promotions or with finance offers such as Latitude, Afterpay, Zip and Klarna.

• Trade purchases cannot be cancelled, and the homewares change of mind policy and 120 night mattress promise do not apply.

• Trade members cannot hold a myFreedom membership.

For example, 15% saves $300 on a $2,000 full-priced order, while myFreedom would return one $50 voucher. For a planned fit-out, that beats chasing a Freedom discount code, but not for a household sofa you might want to swap.

Delivery fees depend on location, product size, brand, and where the item ships from. The final fee appears at checkout. As a guide, delivery starts from $19.95 for homewares, $75 for small furniture, and $160 for large furniture. Entering your postcode on a product page shows the estimated timeframe.

• Furniture and homewares in one order can arrive separately, and Online Exclusive products ship by courier from a delivery partner, often separately and with separate fees.

• A redelivery fee may apply if nobody over 18 is home to accept a large item.

• Freedom does not deliver to PO Boxes, parcel lockers or addresses outside Australia.

For example, on a $1,500 sofa, the $160 large furniture fee outweighs a 10% saving, so add it to the price before you weigh up two pieces.

Click & Collect is free on eligible items and shows on the product page or in your cart. Larger furniture is collected from warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Selected regional stores offer Ship to Store on selected products. Online Exclusive products cannot be collected.

Wait for the ready-to-collect email and SMS, then bring your order confirmation and photo ID (a nominee named at checkout needs the same). Collect within 14 days or the order may be cancelled and refunded, so call the store early if you need more time.

Collecting a sofa saves the full $160 large furniture fee, if you have a suitable vehicle and two people to lift it. No Freedom discount code can do the same, because their codes exclude delivery charges.

Change of mind returns cover homewares such as lamps, frames and cushions only. The period is within 30 days of delivery on online orders (60 for myFreedom members). Items must be unopened and sealed in original condition, with proof of purchase, and can go back to any Freedom store or by post at your own cost and risk.

Furniture, upholstered products, sale and clearance items, seconds, floor stock, and made-to-order pieces are excluded. Make sure you check sizes and colours before buying a discounted cushion or lamp.

Furniture and mattresses cannot be returned for a change of mind. However, an undelivered order can be cancelled.

• Within 48 hours of ordering, Freedom refunds what you paid, including delivery, less a $45 administration fee.

• After 48 hours, you get back only 65% of the full price, and changing a colour or configuration counts as a cancellation.

• Neither option applies to purchases made with finance.

• Homewares and Online Exclusive orders start processing quickly, so cancellation is not guaranteed.

If you doubt a fabric or size, decide within the first 48 hours, and call Customer Care with your order number straight away.

Freedom's warranty sits on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights. Sofa, recliner, and armchair frames carry a 10-year structural warranty, extended to 12 years for myFreedom members. Fabric, cushions, mechanisms, and legs get 2 years, as do tables, beds, dressers, outdoor furniture, and pendant lights. Most other homewares get 1 year, and mattresses carry their manufacturer's warranty. The terms in place on the day you buy apply, so keep your invoice.

Claim through the Freedom Help Centre form or on (02) 5566 0011, with photos of the product, fault and product ID label, plus your sales order. Normal wear, sun damage, stains, pet damage and floor stock are not covered. Given that free cover, think twice before paying for a protection plan on a product page.

If a Freedom or Sealy branded mattress is not right for you within 120 nights of delivery, you can exchange it once for a different mattress. This is provided that you meet these four conditions:

• You buy a waterproof mattress protector on the same receipt.

• You use that protector from the first night.

• You sleep on the mattress for at least 40 nights before asking.

• You keep it on a sound foundation, with timber slats no more than 7cm apart.

A cheaper replacement earns no refund, a dearer one means paying the gap at the current RRP, and normal delivery fees apply. Damaged or soiled mattresses, Online Exclusive and electric adjustable mattresses, custom orders and floor stock are excluded. Make sure you budget for the protector and stick to the Freedom or Sealy ranges if you want this safety net.

• Afterpay splits an order into 4 interest free instalments over 6 weeks with 25% upfront, but a new customer's low spending limit may not cover a sofa.

• Klarna's Pay in 4 charges the remaining payments every 2 weeks after the order ships.

• Zip Pay lets you repay weekly, fortnightly or monthly above a minimum monthly repayment. The monthly account fee is waived only if you clear the closing balance by the due date.

• Latitude interest-free runs on approved Latitude credit cards, with plans from 6 months on $250 or more up to 50 months on $1,500 or more.

Missed payments attract late fees, Latitude charges a monthly card fee plus interest on any balance left when the plan ends, and a Latitude interest free order cannot be part paid with Freedom gift cards or credits. Only take a plan you can clear in full before it ends.

Freedom gift cards and eGift Cards range from $30 to $1,000, and eGift Cards are emailed straight to the recipient. A new card can take up to 24 hours to activate. It stays valid for 36 months from issue, after which any balance is lost. You can use up to three cards in one online order and keep any leftover balance for next time. However, they do not work at Freedom Kitchens, and lost or stolen cards are not replaced, so record the card number.

A gift card is a payment method rather than a Freedom promo code. This means it can usually sit alongside a sale price, which makes sale season the smartest time to spend one.

Modular ranges such as Noosa are sold piece by piece, so a corner setting can mean four or five separate items. Storewide sales take their discount off each full priced piece, but they don't combine with Spend More, Save More offers or member pricing. Price the whole configuration under each offer, then buy every planned piece in one order rather than adding a chaise later at full price.

Freedom's Sale and Clearance section gathers discounted furniture, homewares, rugs and outdoor pieces in one place. Clearance pricing can beat what a Freedom discount code takes off full price, but clearance items are usually excluded from other promotions. Check measurements, door widths and product notes before you pay, because a bargain that does not fit through the door is not a saving.

Timing a big purchase around these recurring sales often saves more than any single offer.
