Since 2022, I have worked as an Editor with CupoNation Australia, managing Reolink offers and keeping them up to date.
From what I have seen, their refurbished page is excellent for savings. You can get cameras at up to 50% off, still with a one-year warranty and lifetime support, making it a smart way to secure your home without overspending. However, refurbished devices aren't available year-round, so sign up for their mailing list to stay updated.
Reolink sells security devices, from battery, solar, Wi-Fi, and 4G cellular cameras to video doorbells, NVR kits, and the Home Hub. These devices suit homes and small businesses. Local orders ship from within Australia and usually dispatch within two business days. Their mains-powered gear also comes with an Australian plug.
Footage records locally to a microSD card, Home Hub, NVR, or FTP server. Reolink Cloud is an optional paid add-on rather than a requirement. Their referral coupon treats anyone who hasn't ordered Reolink in the past 365 days as a new customer, so lapsed buyers can still qualify. Coupon terms are set per promotion, so check which items a code covers.
Apply this discount code at checkout to take 5% off your order across all smart home security products. Valid for all registered users online.
Apply this coupon code during checkout to receive 5% off home security camera systems sitewide. Valid for all online users.
Verified by editor: The Reolink OMVI 2i Ultra + SP was added to the cart, and the coupon was applied. The final price reflected 5% less than the original price.
This offer excludes sets, accessories, and hub series.
This offer is valid for all online users.
Reolink's certified refurbished range offers up to 50% off cameras and other security gear. Each unit is inspected and tested by their engineers. Any faulty modules are replaced, and each unit gets the latest firmware and a new UID. A refurbished item needs to pass a final quality check before it is sold. You also get Reolink's standard 1-year warranty and lifetime technical support.
The trade-offs matter, though. Refurbished items can't get the free 6-month warranty extension, and they are not eligible for a full refund. If something goes wrong or you change your mind, you can only exchange them for another refurbished product, not a new one.
For example, a unit at 50% off costs half the new price but comes with 1 year of cover instead of the 2.5 years a registered new camera gets. That makes refurbished a strong deal for an extra indoor camera or a spare, and a weaker one for a hard-to-reach outdoor camera you want covered for years.
Although the refurbished section is live on the Reolink website, items are not available all year round. If you are waiting for a particular model, the refurbished offers email list on the same page is worth joining. This way, you can be the first to know when a refurbished item you're looking for is available. You can also keep tabs on this page, where we will update offers for refurbished devices whenever they go live.
Log in to your Reolink account, pick a product, and create a custom referral link or code to share. Your friend gets a discount on their first order, and you earn a commission proportional to what they actually pay once the order is delivered. Reolink counts a friend as a new user if they haven't ordered Reolink products in the past 365 days.
A few limits decide how much you actually collect.
Commission is settled 30 days after the order, as long as the order status doesn't change.
You can request settlement once a month, at the start of the month, by contacting their customer service, and unclaimed commission can build up across months.
You can't earn commission or get the friend discount by using your own link.
Only the first link you create for each product earns a coupon, so sharing the same product again adds nothing.
Because commission tracks what your friend actually pays, a referral on a full multi-camera kit is worth far more than one on a single doorbell. Create your link for the product your friend is really planning to buy, and remind them to order before the link's validity period ends.
Reolink's trial programme lets you apply to test new devices for free. This also applies to pre-release features and app versions, in exchange for a detailed review. You apply as a user or an influencer, and once approved, you don't need to fill in the form again. Reolink emails you when a relevant programme opens.
Selection isn't guaranteed; some programmes only run in specific countries, and there can be stretches with no programme open at all. Treat it as a bonus rather than a plan.
Reolink's 4G cellular cameras suit spots with no Wi-Fi or Ethernet, such as sheds, farms, and holiday homes. However, they come with a running cost that Wi-Fi and PoE cameras don't. Each camera needs its own SIM, separate from your phone's. Reolink includes a SIM in the box with a free 100MB trial and no contract or activation fees.
Members of an Australian bargain hunting forum report using cheaper data-only SIMs from local providers instead. They also point out that a camera uses far less data when you aren't streaming live footage all day. If you go that way, check the provider's 4G coverage at your site, because Reolink's 4G cameras don't support 2G and Reolink doesn't recommend 3G.
Before you pay for any plan, set recordings to save locally and keep live viewing for when you need it. Data is a cost you pay every month for as long as the camera runs. Trimming it often saves more over a camera's life than any one-off discount on the camera itself.
New Reolink products carry a 2-year warranty. You can add another 6 months for free by registering the product on their product registration page. Professional Series models (model numbers starting with "RP") already come with 3 years, and certified refurbished items come with 1 year. However, neither can be extended.
Registration asks for your order number, the product UID, and your purchase date. The warranty clock starts from your invoice date rather than the day you register. Reolink says they are not responsible for warranty issues caused by incorrect registration details. Make sure you double-check the UID before you submit. Registering on the day your order arrives turns 24 months of cover into 30, which is 25% more protection for a few minutes of typing.
Reolink's warranty doesn't cover damage from misuse, alteration, disassembly, drops, poor installation or storage, power outages, or electrical accidents. It also excludes extreme temperatures, severe weather, natural disasters, and painted or tampered products.
To claim, submit a warranty request through their support centre. Wait for technical support to authorise it before sending anything back. The authorisation (RMA) stays valid for 90 days. Make sure to remove or format any microSD card, SIM card or hard drive first. This is because Reolink isn't responsible for lost data.
Two exclusions catch out bargain hunters most often. A cheap third-party battery can void the warranty on the camera it powers. A camera from an unauthorised seller may have no Reolink warranty at all, which can wipe out whatever you saved on the purchase price.
You can request a refund within 30 days of delivery if you bought from Reolink's official online store. Purchases from Amazon, other retailers or physical stores go back through that seller.
Returns must include every product and accessory and be sent with a trackable shipping method.
For a personal reason, you pay return shipping, and Reolink deducts any additional costs from your refund.
For a dead on arrival or quality issue within 30 days, Reolink provides a return label or refunds shipping, up to a maximum that varies with the product's value.
Start with a request through Reolink's support centre, and don't post items to their office address.
Test everything in the first week. A fault reported within 30 days gets its return shipping covered, while posting back a bulky NVR kit that doesn't suit your property can take up most of your savings.
Reolink runs sale events on its own website throughout the year, and recent years have followed a fairly steady pattern.
An Autumn Sale has run in March.
The anniversary sale has landed in late May and June, which lines up neatly with EOFY.
Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days in October have brought matching deals on the Reolink website.
A Father's Day Sale has run in early September, split into two periods with different products.
The Friday Sale and Cyber Monday period in late November usually runs into early December.
Boxing Day deals have started on Christmas Eve, followed by New Year deals into early January.
Check how each event works before you buy. Australian tech news coverage of a past event reported that their early access period needed a Reolink coupon code at checkout, while the main sale week applied discounts automatically. Building a wishlist ahead of these windows, especially for a full NVR or Home Hub kit, usually saves far more than buying at full price at a random time of year.
Add your cameras or kit to the cart, go to checkout, and enter the code in the coupon field. Make sure to check that the discount shows against the right items before you pay.
The catch is what happens if you leave checkout. Continuing past the coupon step creates a pending order, and if you go back and try again, the code is marked as occupied and won't apply. Reolink's fix is simple. Wait 30 minutes, and the unpaid order cancels automatically, freeing the code. You can also try to log in with the same email you used on that order, open it under My Orders and pay for it there. If a new attempt says the code is already in use, the cause is usually your own unpaid order rather than an expired offer.
Reolink sells through its own website and on Amazon, and recent sale events have run on both. Prices often match, but some sale deals have been exclusive to Reolink's official website, and the official store brings aftercare that a marketplace doesn't.
Only purchases from their official online store can be refunded directly by Reolink within 30 days.
The product registration form for the free warranty extension lists their website as the purchase source.
A Reolink coupon code shared for the official store is entered at the official store's checkout, not on a marketplace.
When prices are equal, the official store usually wins on aftercare. Amazon is worth a look mainly when it is clearly cheaper on the same model, and in that case refunds go through the seller you bought from.
