Splitting the cost doesn't lower the price, and it narrows your return options. Online orders paid with Afterpay, Klarna or PayPal can't be returned at a boutique and have to go through the online portal. If you're unsure about fit and live near a store, paying by card keeps the free in store return open.

Change of mind returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, unworn with tags attached and with proof of purchase.

• Outlet, Final Sale, swimwear, undergarments, pierced jewellery, beauty and gift cards can't be returned for change of mind.

• Postal returns go through the online returns portal, and a $9.99 label fee comes off your refund.

• Online orders paid by credit card can go back to any Blue Illusion boutique for free, though not to David Jones concessions.

• Delivery fees aren't refunded on express orders or orders under $150.

Exchanges happen in boutiques only. Each parcel you post back pays the label fee again, so send everything from one order together.
